HTC's Button Layout for Next-Gen Hardware

HTC tends to stick to a certain design convention for a particular series of devices. Their current wave of devices (which includes the Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2) have brought a D-Pad-less design with just four hardware buttons on the bottom, placed beneath a zoom slider.

For HTC's next generation of devices, which we know to include the HTC Touch2 and HTC Leo, we're going to see the addition of a fifth hardware button on the bottom of devices. The fifth button is the "home" key which many will probably reprogram to take on another function, since pressing the Call End key does the same thing (unless you're in a call). In addition to the fifth hardware button, we're likely to see the zoom slider continue to make a presence on devices with resistive touchscreens like the Touch2 but not the Leo.
