Dear Apple:
My iPhone makes a good paper weight. Sure, it does a lot of cool stuff like browse the web like a real computer, and sure it’s easy and fun to use, but it’s useless to me without Exchange support. Exchange is the cornerstone of my mobile life – without it, I’m out of touch. My emails are not sync’ed (unless I use lousy IMAP), my calendar doesn’t look right, and oh…if I add a new contact to my desktop, it doesn’t show up on my iPhone several seconds later. Sure, I could manually sync all of the above, but road warriors don’t have time to manually sync.
So please, Apple, give the Exchange-lovers in the world what they want tomorrow at the SDK press conference. Sure, you may have to cut royalty checks to Microsoft every quarter, but it would surely boost iPhone sales. Besides, I’d really like to go back to using a rock as a paper weight.
Signed,
Brandon
