Gone. Everything is gone. My Pocket PC has just performed the equivalent of a hard reset without even asking me.
I suppose it was inevitable when you consider the amount of software I install on my device for review purposes.
Earlier in the week I was merrily trying out “The-Software-Which-Will Remain-Nameless,” putting it through it’s paces and it locked up my device. No big deal, I do soft resets all the time. Except for some reason, when my device restarted, it asked me to tap the screen to begin.
I got that sick feeling in my stomach. Like the one you get when the police car in your rear-view mirror turns on those pretty lights.
So now here I am, with a totally clean device.
My question for you: What programs should I install? If cost was not a consideration, what are the essential programs you would suggest I add to my suddenly new Pocket PC? (FYI, it is an Axim X5 400, no wireless, no bluetooth, no GPS)
I guess we all need a fresh start now and then. Instead of being sad about this, I am approaching it as an opportunity to take a fresh look at the possibilities of my aging Pocket PC.
