Soon is December 7th for the big box retailer with an asking price of $800 for the XPERIA X1a–which has been designated for a North American release. According to The Boy Genius Report, the model will come in black.

$800 seems more reasonable than the outlandish prices that Best Buy and CompUSA have been asking for early releases of some newer BlackBerry models. Although with the XPERIA X1 rumored to hit carriers, it may be cheaper to hold out and wait. If you got to have it now, start saving!
