For the hot Windows Mobile 6.5 available–some are not released in the US–UK’s T3 took out the XPERIA X2, the Omnia II, the Toshiba TG01, and the Touch2. The conclusion? The Omnia got the best marks of the bunch. Read on to find out the verdict on each individual device.
Please note that the content below is taken from T3:
Sony Ericsson Xperia X2
Love: Great 8-meg camera with camera light, effective QWERTY keyboard and good music software
Hate: Dodgy touch-sensitive controls, a screen that needs a lot of stylus input and occasionally complicated Panels overlay.
T3 Test Winner: Samsung Omnia II
Love: Superlative vivid display, responsive touchscreen and excellent Samsung Widgets
Hate: The odd Cube setup is a less successful interface but is the phone’s only real disappointment
HTC Touch 2
Love: HTC’s neat TouchFLO interface is about the best non-Windows setup you’ll find
Hate: There’s no flash on the (average) 3.2-megapixel camera
Toshiba TG01
Love: Great screen and super-quick processor make this phone good to use
Hate: The limited Tosh overlay to add to the Windows experience
