Rather than creating different posts for some Windows Mobile news snippets, this one will be an eclectic mash-up of Windows Mobile news bits.
First, Gizmodo is reporting that Joe Belfiore from the Zune team will be hopping ship over to the Windows Mobile camp. Perhaps this is will lead to more intuitive user interfaces and the beginning of a better multimedia experience for Windows Mobile. Still no Zune Phone, but hey, every Windows Mobile device will be a Zune Phone now.
General manager for the Windows Home Server group Charlie Kindel will also be joining the Windows Mobile team. All I ask, really, is for Windows Mobile to have a more simple and intuitive WiFi connection setup.
Now, onto the bad news–Gizmodo is reporting that Windows Mobile 6.5 devices won’t hit until September of this year, with Windows Mobile 7 not hitting until 2010. According to Engadget Mobile, the silver lining is that the code for Windows Mobile 7 will be released probably around November of 2009 and the first handsets will be available in April 2010.
