Engadget Mobile is reporting that Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard has been hacked to work with the BlackJack. If you can’t wait for the official update, assuming one is actually coming for the soon to be retired original BlackJack and not the BlackJack II, then you can head over to TxCaesar’s Mobile Repository and grab yourself the ROM.

At this time, the cooked ROM is in alpha and beta forms. There is always a risk of making your device inoperable with any upgrade of the system ROM. Installing a non-official ROM will make your warranty void so follow all the directions to the letter.
