Whitestone Gets FCC Blessing. Final Destination: Verizon Wireless?

We still don’t have an ETA yet when the rumored Whitestone will be dropping on Verizon Wireless, but the device just flew through the FCC for the requisite regulatory approval. FCC documents reveal CDMA/EVDO radios, but not a word on the GSM/EDGE/HSPA worldphone capabilities–the former is necessary for the device to operate in the US on Verizon Wireless’ networks whereas the latter may deter some globe-trotting business people from making the Windows Phone leap.

For the full leaked specs, you can visit our earlier post, but the Whitestone will essentially be a larger-screened Diamond2 variant with a multimedia focus, which is evident in the media button on the front and a 5-megapixel camera.
