We have reviewed the Touch Pro here at pocketnow.com, but if you are interested in reading Verizon’s carrier-specific CDMA variant, you should check out the review over at InfoSync.
Overall, InfoSync’s comments are pretty much in alignment with the GSM model. Calls and data went through smoothly on the CDMA/EVDO network on Verizon. The main difference and the major gripe with this model is that Verizon chose a different keyboard layout. Here, the M and N keys are separated by an up arrow on the sliding keyboard.
Also, it seems that Verizon wants to focus this device as a work phone, opting to recommend users use the “Start” button rather than enabling TouchFLO 3D out of the box. Although TouchFLO 3D is on the device, users have to enable it under the Today Screen Settings. The cool part is that it seems that there is a horizontal version of TouchFLO 3D in landscape rather than the grid that is in most GSM versions, including the Fuze on AT&T.
