Verizon On Its Way to Become Largest US Carrier Again

After a slew of mergers with the AT&T companies, AT&T outpaced Verizon in becoming the largest mobile carrier in the US for some time now. However, Verizon is about to reclaim that position again as the Alltel merger has cleared the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). According to the Associated Press, the Justice Department and the FCC have already signed their stamp of approval.
