Sprint Optimistic About WinMo 7 with Late 2009 Release Date

The Unwired View obtained a Sprint release roadmap, which shows the HTC Rhodium, previously described in our HTC Leak for 2009, as being launched later this year in 2009. The interesting caveat: the Rhodium will launch with Windows Mobile 7, an OS that Microsoft has confirmed for a 2010 launch. Whether Sprint and HTC can pull off this coup or if it’s an error in printing is anyone’s guess at this point.

Other notable device launches include the CDMA version of the Treo Pro coming sooner than later, a second quarter release for a device called the HTC Willow, a device that represents Sprint’s version of the T-Mobile Dash for CDMA, and the much-hyped Palm Pre.

Another device on the roadmap is the Samsung Dash, which is a feature phone that is also known as the Instinct II; the Samsung Dash should not be confused with the T-Mobile Dash, a Windows Mobile device made by HTC for T-Mobile.
