Sprint Gives Samsung Moment Owners Android 2.1 Upgrade At Last

For patient owners of the Samsung Moment, it seems that good things do come to those who wait as Sprint has finally issued the Android 2.1 upgrade for the device. The upgrade to the Moment, which debuted in October 2009 at CTIA, has been leaked before, but now everything’s official.

The update is now live on Sprint’s support site and users can follow the full instructions on performing the update. Bear in mind that the update will wipe your device of its content and memory, so do back up any pictures, videos, or files as necessary.

When it was released, the Moment became the second Android handset in Sprint’s lineup after the Sprint HTC Hero; the Moment offered a hardware keyboard while the CDMA Hero was a pure slate device.
