There will not be an announcement by Sony Ericsson for the XPERIA X2, the successor to the X1 today despite earlier rumors. Instead, the official Sony Ericsson blog mentions that an X2 announcement will come later in the year: “We’ll have some news on the X2 later in the year, but tomorrow’s event is not it.”

Sorry folks, move it along. Nothing to see here.
