Europe’s had the Samsung i620 for some time now, and we reviewed it about a year and a half ago. Now, it looks like AT&T wants to get in on the action. After releasing a non-smartphone (featurephone) called the Propel with the same form factor of small screen and sliding QWERTY, rumors on Brighthand peg the release for March 17.
The device will sport Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, although the picture from Brighthand seems to indicate the touchscreen version of Microsoft’s mobile OS. There is also a rumor that the new device will have an optical mouse, like that found on the Samsung Epix, a non-sliding Windows Mobile Pro QWERTY device also on AT&T.
Brandon had dubbed the form factor as the BlackJack Slider, but AT&T may use the Propel naming convention here and go with Propel Pro.
