If leaks of the Samsung Omnia 2 are accurate, the device will be the multimedia king, bringing rich consumer feature phone features to the smartphone realm. The Omnia 2 is reported to have an 8-megapixel camera with 2 LED flashes. The camera, not to be bested by the iPhone 3G S, will be capable of recording VGA video also at 30 frames per second. Moreover, all the pictures and videos are clearly displayed using the device’s OLED WVGA screen, which will render brighter colors and darker blacks. OLED draws less energy than LCD screens while displaying crisper colors and richer black tones. The model name is the GT-I8000–we like Omnia 2 better. Of course, all the specs are powered by Windows Mobile Professional with Samsung’s UI overlay.
