It looks like the powerful Samsung Galaxy S is now available for pre-order from Amazon Germany. The device has a 1 GHz ARM chipset based on the Hummingbird design that is said to be much more powerful and faster than the similarly clocked Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm. Additionally, the phone boasts a 4.1-inch display, a Super AMOLED touchscreen, and camera that can do video in 720p HD though a flash was not included with the shooter.
If the HTC EVO 4G from Sprint isn’t your thing, the GSM-based Galaxy S may be a good alternative, though Amazon’s product listing does not show which 3G/HSPA frequencies are supported so your import may not be able to take advantage of higher speed mobile broadband from AT&T or T-Mobile USA.
