RIM Order Snafu: Sprint Customer Gets Verizon BlackBerry

The BlackBerry Tour was recently released for CDMA carriers Sprint and Verizon Wireless just some days ago and we’re hearing that things got a little chaotic at Research in Motion’s BlackBerry assembling plant. A Sprint customer ordered a Sprint BlackBerry only to open up the box and get Big Red’s logo stamped on the front of the device. Not all was lost in this incident as the device’s software still bore Sprint’s branding, just that the imprinted logo has Verizon on it.

Question here is will Sprint actually “support” this model? Carriers have been known to be stingy with their customer service, denying support for models that they don’t carry.
