The BlackBerry Pearl 9100 has been leaked into the wild, and the thin, SureType two letters per key device now follows RIM’s plans to eschew the pearl in favor of the trackpad found on devices like the BlackBerry Curve 8500 series and the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
The Pearl is a great consumer device for folks who do not need the width and bulk of a BlackBerry with a full QWERTY keyboard. The SureType keyboard crams the QWERTY keyboard on board with two letters per key and has predictive text input and an intelligent algorithm to help make typing easier.
