In anticipation of the upcoming release of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 with the panel interface, Sony Ericsson is releasing the software development kit (SDK) so other developers can create panels for the device as well. According to Engadget Mobile, Sony Ericsson will also host a dedicated website that holds a repository of various created panels so users can download them on the go in the future. Essentially, the panels are like Widgets. Sony Ericsson will have a multimedia panel for the device upon release it seems. You can click on to see a video of the panels.
