Pandora to Jump On Multitasking with iOS 4 App Version Today

Pandora has heard the cries of its iPhone users and will be addressing multitasking while listening to its internet streaming radio services with an update to the iPhone app made for the recently available iOS 4. The new version of Pandora will allow users to stream content in the background so they will still have access to Pandora’s internet radio streams while browsing the web, checking email, or within another app. Additionally, the widget controls in the task switcher in iOS 4–denoted by three buttons: play, rewind, and forward–will automatically switch to controls for Pandora once the app is loaded. According to Apple at WWDC, the widgets will control iPod or any other music app that takes advantage of the API once the music app is launched in the background.

Users can head into the App Store and check for version 3.1 of Pandora.
