The Elektrobit satellite phone brings a whole new world of connectivity to those who feels left out in the cold. The phone sports both a satellite radio and GSM with HSPA for high speed access when you're within range of a decent tower. WiFi is also included onboard. The touchscreen monster is said to be Windows Mobile 6.5 upgradable, bringing it to the Windows Phone class.

According to Engadget Mobile, satellite service may cost you a pretty penny and the downside is the keyboard, which may be revised when the actual thing gets released.

For a satellite phone, the device is nicely designed. This is not your father's bulky satellite phone of yore.
