MWC: HTC Touch Pro2 has Proximity Sensor

File under: News
By: Brandon Miniman | Date: 16-Feb-09 | - Comments

The new HTC Touch Pro2 (and by the way, HTC chose not to place a space between "Pro" and "2") is the second Windows Mobile device ever to have a proximity sensor. The first was the AT&T LG Incite...a device about which we weren't too fanatical. This sensor will be likely used like it is in the iPhone - to turn off the screen when you hold the device to your face to conserve battery. You can see the promo video of the Touch Pro2 yourself by hitting up HTC's website.
