If the Samsung Propel Pro can be seen as the slider version to the BlackJack II, then Motorola’s lineup consists of a new slider called the Ironman to complement the Motorola Q9 smartphone.
Unlike the BlackJack II, Propel Pro, and Q9, which run on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system, the Motorola slider will be powered by Android, although the screen renderings depict something akin to Microsoft’s forthcoming and often rumored Windows Mobile 7, especially the bottom bar with center input button and two side soft buttons. Also, the screen shows a panel interface.
According to The Boy Genius Report, the rumored Ironman Android handset will be available in the third quarter with “a screamin’ CPU and have pretty much every feature under the sun Wi-Fi, 3G, high resolution camera, etc.”
The Ironman will also carry the great Q9 keyboard found on another Motorola handset destined for Verizon Wireless.
