At first glance, the Motorola Droid X, and also by default the Sprint HTC EVO 4G, would seem big with its massive 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, but we find that despite the iPhone 4‘s smaller overall size, the devices have a more comparable “useable” size. Specifically, with the iPhone 4′s reception issues and Apple’s official response that one solution to the reception woes would be a case or rubber bumper around the iPhone, the Motorola Droid X is not much bigger than the iPhone with a case/bumper around it. For those who are concerned about phones with larger screen sizes, a comparison between the Droid X’s larger 4.3-inch screen versus the iPhone 4′s 3.5-inch display and case shows that the Droid X is comparable in size to the iPhone and is only slightly larger. Perhaps Motorola can add this one to their list of fun against Apple.
