The MOTO SPLIT was long rumored to have a sliding QWERTY keyboard that flanks both sides of the screen for tumb-typists, but the latest bit of information on this Android handset has it that the keys are made of tiny little LCD screens so that the keys can change depending on the context that you’re using them.
The Split’s keyboard can further slide out in portrait or landscape mode.
Motorola’s unique hardware here reminds me of the Windows Mobile Motorola MPx, which was cancelled prior to release. Hopefully, the SPLIT will see the light of day in consumer’s hands.
