In a twist, while the Android Archos 5 was hacked to show it running Maemo, there is news that the Maemo Nokia N900 has also been hacked to run Android 2.1 this time around. Adventurous users–which should be most, if not all, of the N900′s open, Linux-based community–can head over to NITDroid to get the instructions on getting Maemo to work. So far, the touchscreen and keyboard are fully functional in Android mode.
