So it looks like that “party” HTC is holding on October 7th in Taipei may reveal some new hardware after all, as one of the company’s PR firms is sending around an invite for a Central London pre-briefing that same day. The invitation specifically states that the briefing concerns “a range of new phones (that have not been announced).”
Now we’d love to imagine that HTC is going to be revealing its Windows Phone 7 launch handsets on the 7th of October, but we’re still pretty sure that all device manufacturers are waiting until the October 11th NYC event to expose their wares. Then again, HTC and Microsoft have been very tight for many years now, and if any company was going to get the green light for an early launch, we’d put our money on HTC. Plus, since we’re expecting only three more unannounced phones from the company before the end of the calendar year, there don’t seem to be many more rumored handsets making the rounds that are not powered by Redmond’s latest.
