HTC Going After Android Market with Desire for Verizon Wireless

After successfully launching the T-Mobile G1 and MyTouch 3G in the USA on T-Mobile’s GSM network along with the Hero with its Sense UI internationally, HTC is diving deeper into the Android smartphone market. The once exclusive Microsoft Windows Mobile partner now has plans on launching a CDMA Android handset on Verizon Wireless called the HTC Desire.

There is no details on the Desire, nor is pricing or availability information available. The handset has been spotted on Verizon Wireless’ inventory system.
