HP to Continue to Make Windows Phone
File under: News
HP, which had dropped its Jornada line in favor of the iPAQ branding post-Compaq acquisition, has announced that it will continue to stay with Windows Mobile, adopting Windows Mobile 6.5 for its future handsets. “Windows phones enable people to stay on top of their personal and business lives by connecting them to the diverse array of information they need throughout the day,” said Todd Peters, corporate vice president, Mobile Communications Business, at Microsoft Corp. “We’re excited HP will offer phones with Windows Mobile 6.5, which will help people access and personalize services and applications that can make a phone truly individual.”
Not much else has been revealed from
HP's press release, except HP spouting some loving words towards Microsoft and the next-generation OS. Do you think the iPAQ line can make its big come-back?
