We had speculated that Google will be entering the GPS navigation business with features that extend the basic Google Maps, and guess the rumors were right. With Google and Verizon Wireless announcing the Motorola Droid, Google has announced the new Google Maps, which will give turn-turn driving directions, traffic information from multiple sources, voice search that includes soft searches, and layers of traffic and visual data. The price? Free. And unlike the speculations, there are no ads at this point on Google Maps with voice guidance.

At this time, Google Maps with voice guidance is limited to Android 2.0.

Update: Hit the jump for more Google Maps Navigation videos after the break.
