The Touch Pro2 is also known as the HTC Rhodium internally. It looks like a variant of the Rhodium/Touch Pro2 will be hitting T-Mobile, as there is even more proof of the US carrier receiving the update to the T-Mobile Wing. Engadget Mobile has dug up filings with the FCC for a Rhodium for T-Mobile.
T-Mobile USA’s adoption of the Rhodium will mean that all major US carriers will have a variant of the Touch Pro2, with rumors for a launch of the latest flagship enterprise device on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. The Rhodium, as Engadget Mobile has speculated, will most likely be known as the Wing II to replace the current Windows Mobile Professional device on the carrier’s lineup, which is still poking at 2.5 G EDGE speeds for data. T-Mobile has been quietly building out its new 3G network using the AWS spectrum.
Will T-Mobile USA be the first out the gate with a Touch Pro2 in its arsenal? T-Mobile Germany is already rumored to be the first in Europe to get the Touch Pro2.
