Europe: HTC Hero a Better Vote Than Android Samsung i7500 Galaxy

Read on to find out what Tracy's and Matt's Blog discovered about the Samsung Android handset.
In reviewing the Samsung i7500, the reviewer on Tracy's and Matt's found that the OLED screen is bright and crisp--similar to what we discovered in our Samsung Omnia II review. The reviewer found the camera quality with LED flash to be excellent.
However, not all was great about the Smasung i7500. Unlike HTC, which went the route of customizing Android with its Sense UI, Samsung decided to keep Android bare bones. We're wondering if the Korean manufacturer will eventually port its Widgets platform over to Android, much like how Motorola had achieved with their MOTO BLUR interface. Additionally, the keys or button placement was a bit awkward and the reviewer noted that the soft key menus were a but cumbersome.
Here's what the reviewer concluded with:
So do I like the Galaxy as much as the Hero - No, and I cant see many people disagreeing with me once they have used both. It does what its meant to do and it does it well but its just not as nice. I was bitterly disappointed with Samsung's failure to sort out the Android Market issue and had I been able to download other app's then maybe the race would have been a bit closer.
