Did you happen to catch the live broadcast of the Engadget show last night with fellow Windows Mobile enthusiast Ryan Block of gdgt.com? We were there as well, but just to watch. It was nice to see that when the Dell Lightning Windows Phone 7 picture appeared, the whole audience cheered. In fact, all of the members of the round table discussion felt that Dell’s accidental leak of that phone was extremely good for them because now many people are going to wait for that to be released. It certainly does look like the ultimate Windows Phone 7, even though by Windows Phone 7 standards, the specs are a bit on the minimum side.

Dell’s Android phones didn’t offer much excitement, nor did the new iPhone or iPad either really. It seemed like a struggle for anyone to find any terribly compelling reasons to carry an iPad around all the time.

Engadget’s discussion of the soon-to-be-released Kin phones was a bit mixed. Joshua, like most smartphone power users, feels that Kin has fail written all over it, but Ryan points out that feature phones are still very big sellers, and the Kin has a lot of potential in its very specific target market.
