How is soon is soon? We really don’t know, but it looks like Asus is extending its Eee franchise beyond small netbooks and compact all-in-one desktop systems. The firm wants to bring to market an Eee Phone line that will interact gracefully with all Asus and Eee home gadgets, bringing remote access and hopefully some added value. According to Gizmodo, the Eee Phone will probably use Android as its operating system. Considering that Eee PCs already ship with a version of Linux as the base option, having another version of Linux in Android at the heart of its phones seem to make sense.
