Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 Pricing Revealed; Diamond2 Available Now
If you're eyeing an unlocked HTC Diamond2 or Touch Pro2, Engadget Mobile posted some pricing information obtained from Unwired View. Unwired View had obtained pricing information for HTC's latest handsets in the Singapore market, and it expects that the pricing scheme will be similar for European and North American markets.
The unlocked Diamond2 will be priced at $725 and the Touch Pro2 will be priced at $880. If you don't care for an unlocked unit, you may want to wait until your carrier releases them, at which point you can sign away a contract and get some subsidy discounts.
Although the handsets are expected around this summer, some web retailers have already begun receiving shipments for the Diamond2 and are offering the slimmer handset for sale. MoDaCo had reported that the Diamond2 had trickled into devicewire, a retailer in the UK. The devicewire retail price seems to be less than the HTC unlocked price. Engadget Mobile's price conversion for the unit is around $672, after VAT (taxes). Retailer eXpansys has also gotten inventory of the slim Diamond2 for those who need to be the first on the block with the latest gadget gear.
