CTIA: Android's the Name at Motorola Booth--MOTO CLIQ Video

We're definitely seeing a lot of Android energy at CTIA last week. First, it was Sprint and Samsung who introduced us to the Moment a day after the Windows Mobile Samsung Intrepid announcement. Then, there was HTC, which went fully Android at CTIA by sponsoring a lounge dedicated to the Sprint HTC Hero. And finally, Motorola, a manufacturer who made the Motorola Q9h, was only showing off its MOTO CLIQ handset, which is based on Android.

We did have a chance to sit down and catch up with Motorola, who gave us a run-through of the Android-based MOTO CLIQ with the MOTO BLUR UI, the video of which is below:

If there were any doubts that Motorola is shifting its focus to Android, CTIA should seal the deal. Motorola's booth might as well have been named the Google Android booth; Motorola was only showing off its Android phone, hosting the Barnes & Noble Cafe which should debut an eReader app for Android, and also hosting prizes and giveaways purely for Android.

The Motorola rep that we spoke with was keen on stating that they are only representing the Android CLIQ at CTIA and that was the only product they are talking about. When pressed further to see if Windows Mobile was in Moto's future, Motorola gave us a generic response in that they are monitoring and evaluating all platforms.
