HTC’s Windows Mobile Standard non-touch smartphone graced the FCC with very little information released according to Engadget Mobile. The Taiwanese OEM requested that pictures and details be held from the public until after June 30, indicating that HTC and/or the carrier will want to unveil the details prior to an FCC announcement.
Little is known about the device except that it is a CDMA model, which may either come to Sprint or Verizon Wireless. The model number is CEDA200, leading to speculations that it may be either the Cedar, which is rumored to come to Verizon Wireless or the Willow that is rumored to come to Sprint. Both the Willow and the Cedar are similar devices sporting a candybar QWERTY and non-touchscreen that make them competitors to the T-Mobile Dash.
Another device to keep an eye out for in the same family is the Maple, which is rumored to replace the Dash on T-Mobile and bring 3G.
