Oprah will be unveiling her favorite tech gadget today and speculation has it that it will be the Amazon Kindle, a cellular wireless e-book reader that Brandon had reviewed before. The unique thing about the Kindle is that you don’t need a wireless subscription plan. Rather, all the costs are built into the selling price and you can hop on Sprint’s EVDO network to download the latest e-book, most of which are available around $10.

Oprah’s choice in the Kindle would not be so surprising considering she has brought reading back en vogue to many Americans with her book club. There is no telling how demand will be effected for the device. Upon release, Amazon had failed to gauge demand and the device was out of stock for months before production was vamped up.
