We’ve been watching the CES keynote with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer like hawks trying to find any sort of indication that Microsoft is dropping Windows Mobile 7. While Ballmer didn’t make any mentions specifically about 7, he made the following statement which has obvious implications:

We will have a lot more to say about phones next month at Mobile World Congress.

It looks Mobile World Congress will be the venue at which Microsoft finally talks about Windows Mobile 7. Next month can’t come soon enough!
