AT&T Rebate Points to a BlackJack III
File under: News
-The device will sport Windows Mobile
-The Jack will be a MediaFLO handset for all your mobile TV viewing on AT&T
-The device will support 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth
-Camera is of unknown resolution
Could this be the next BlackJack replacement with Windows Mobile Standard sans touchscreen? The original BlackJack was carried as the i607 on AT&T and the BlackJack II was called the i627. The non-touchscreen Propel Pro was dubbed the i620. It seems that the i600 series is associated with non-touchscreen Windows Mobile devices for Samsung while touchscreens are given the i900 series moniker courtesy of the Epix.
Maybe Samsung will port the trackpad from the Epix and Omnia to compete with the forthcoming trackpad BlackBerry. Traditionally, Windows Mobile devices have used directional pads to navigate, but a trackpad on a Standard device makes sense, especially with a mouse cursor since Windows Mobile standard lacks a touchscreen.
