While most iPhone users are awaiting Firmware 2.0.1 to get their stability issues resolved, scant details are floating around on the internet about 2.1 with improvements to GPS and possibly the copy and paste function, a feature that most users have been eager to have since the inception of the first iPhone. According to iPhone Atlas, the new firmware made some API changes that will make the GPS more accurate, with speed and direction readings. Also, Engadget Mobile is reporting that there are some command strings for cut, copy, and paste. It looks like the upgrade, along with the resolution of some serious stability issues, may be a welcomed tune for many iPhone users who have upgraded to iPhone 2.0 or have bought an iPhone 3G.
