Android 2.2 Froyo Trickles Out to EVO 4G Owners on Sprint

After having announced that the HTC EVO 4G Android smartphone would get an update to Android 2.2 Froyo, Sprint customers are beginning to see Froyo updates available on their Android handsets by doing a manual check under their Settings menu. Sprint’s probably waiting to see the results of the upgrade process for enthusiasts who are doing to gain speed improvements as well as run Adobe Flash 10.1 on their handsets before pushing the update out to the masses, which is probably a good idea considering the last OTA update was temporarily pulled due to some problems.

If you can’t wait, you can try heading into the settings menu on your EVO 4G and seeing if the update is there.
