Amazon Kindle in the House: Unboxing Video

The Kindle, in my opinion, represents a paradigm shift in how we will consume information into the future. You may not have a Kindle yet, but I can just about promise that you will have a Kindle, or another eBook reader (should a company release a more compelling unit), within three years.

It occurred to me after shooting the video that the packaging for the Kindle is made to look like a big book. Amazon is definitely trying to make the out of box experience a memorable one, and I think they’ve succeeded by building the elaborate packaging.

After the video I got to play with the unit a bit more. As mentioned in the video, the page changing buttons are WAY too easy to mispress, a big flaw of the Kindle. Very annoying.

Lots more to come!
