Acer to Bring Windows Phone to the Masses With Competitive Pricing

Chuong Nguyen | March 4, 2009 11:22 AM

Acer is going to unleash some new devices to the public shortly, with high end devices and two low end devices that should not cost in excess of 49 Euros. According to The Register, a UK publication, the entry level phones will be available in a variety of different colours. Acer is pricing these devices to get users from non-smartphones to get their first smartphone.

If Acer’s strategy is successful, it will also be a boon for Microsoft and the Windows Mobile platform.
