The Android-based Acer Liquid has a zippy Snapdragon processor rumored to come in at 1 Ghz, a WVGA capacitive touchscreen (versus resistive on the neoTouch), and integration with social media sites. The leaked picture on Engadget Mobile shows us a device that we’ve seen before–perhaps it’s the neoTouch S200 F1 stripped of its Windows Mobile brain for Android?
It seems that unlike HTC, which is creating a fun, consumer-oriented design for its Android handsets (like the chin on most Android devices), Acer may be saving development costs in reusing the same chassis from its Windows Mobile lineup.
