A Cool Feature of the New REDFLY C8N

As we mentioned earlier, Celio is out with two new versions of the REDFLY: the C8N and the C7. The former is the premium model and includes a larger screen, bigger battery, and Media Port (which lets you connect an iPod, Zune, etc, via the $20 cable.)

But what’s interesting about the Media Port on the C8N is how it integrates with the device. As shown around 1:05 of a video from Laptop Magazine (clip shown below), you can use the Media Port function of the REDFLY in windowed mode – having the video hover somewhere on the screen while you continue to work. And because you’re working with 800×480 resolution, there is enough screenspace for a video, and other things too. Also, since it’s the REDFLY that controlling the video from the attached media player, the device doesn’t get bogged down.
