Those who are awaiting Sony Ericsson’s 12-megapixel camera phone, the Idou, announced at Mobile World Congress may be happy to know that a CDMA version is being slated for Verizon Wireless, although details are unknown at this time. The CDMA Verizon Wireless version is codenamed Kokura.
The Idou platform combines innovation in software and hardware design by Sony Ericsson. The Idou offers a touchscreen interface on top of the Symbian operating system and makes use of a 12-megapixel camera, a first for any phone. Currently, the Samsung Innov8 offers an 8-megapixel shooter on T-Mobile USA.
