Samsung got June started by launching the Samsung Z, its first Tizen smartphone to be positioned for commercial release. This announcement had been a long time coming, and the hardware we got to see sounded pretty decent, with a modern chipset and even the same heart rate sensor found on the flagship Galaxy S5. But the Z wasn't always what we were expecting the first Tizen phone to be, and long before its arrival we had our eyes out for the Samsung ZEQ 9000. January has not been the best month so far concerning new of the upcoming Tizen platform. We've heard bad news about plans for just where Tizen hardware might be sold, bad news about carrier interest in the platform, and bad news for anyone hoping to see a Tizen phone arrive before summer.
