The LG Optimus G is basically the foundation for the Nexus 4. If you would rather go with a phone that has a couple of LG goodies installed instead of the vanilla Android experience offered by the pure-Android Nexus 4, you can now grab the Optimus G from AT&T. It goes for $199.99 on a two-year contract or $549.99 outright. For the money you get a great phone which scored well in our own review which you should read for all the details if you're considering the device. October got started with AT&T announcing that it would carry the new Sony Xperia TL, the smartphone Daniel Craig will be using in the new James Bond film, Skyfall. Even if the movie tie-in fails to get your attention, the TL is still a solid Android, with a 4.6-inch 720p display, dual-core 1.5GHz SoC, and a quick-responding 13-megapixel camera. Back then, AT&T wasn't ready to reveal the phone's precise release date, nor what it intended to charge for the handset. Today, the carrier comes through with just that info.
