The Surface RT with Windows RT is available in a new, 64GB, standalone version. It is going for US$599 and you'll need to add $100 if you want to purchase it together with the black Touch Cover. To put this into context, the tablet market grew 75.3% year over year in 4Q12 compared to 29.9 million units in 4Q11. As far as units are concerned, the last quarter of 2012 saw figures growing 74.3% from 30.1 million units in the third quarter of 2012.
